Jennifer Gareis was born on August 1, 1970 in Pennsylvania. She attended Franklin & Marshall College and majored in accounting. While in college, she was on the swim team and was an NCAA All-American swimmer in the butterfly competition, placing in the top five nationwide.
Jennifer started her journey to fame with beauty pageants. She has won numerous pageants, and earned the titles Miss New York - USA 1994 and Miss Hawaiian Tropic. She was the 2nd runner-up to Miss Pennsylvania USA 1992 and a top 6 finalist at Miss USA 1994.
Jennifer made her film debut in Weekend at Bernie's II (1989) in a non-descript, bikini-clad, uncredited role, which she followed up with another no-namer in The Mirror Has Two Faces (1996). But this blonde, green-eyed beauty wasn't about to go unrecognized for long. Her career got a giant boost soon after when she landed the role of Grace Turner on the hit daytime soap, The Young and the Restless. She went on to appear in The 6th Day with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Miss Congeniality with Sandra Bullock, and Boat Trip with Cuba Gooding Jr.
